systemsGo is offering a unique opportunity for the right individuals. We are seeking a hands-on IT support engineer to work onsite in Macau. The successful candidate will become part of the support team for a world-renowned entertainment troupe. Responsibilities:
• Systems & network management – file/print servers, Exchange server, network infrastructure
• Supervise a small team of engineers to ensure effective response to user requests and IT issues.
• Liaison with the systemsGo Helpdesk to coordinate response to user requests and resolve conflicts and inefficiencies
• End-user support – primarily onsite/deskside
• Escalation point for team members for complex user requests and infrastructure service interruptions
• Manage small to midsize projects – PC/LAN setup, network & system upgrades, application installations, etc.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve IT hardware and software problems arising with customer’s information technology environment
• Escalation to and liaison with IT HQ staff to resolve complex problems
• Maintain up to date computing equipment inventory
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies in information technology matters
Experience & Abilities:
• Good knowledge of and experience with Windows 2000 & XP in a corporate domain network environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications MS Office, Outlook, Project
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Servers - Microsoft Windows Server 2000, Exchange 2003
• Good knowledge of physical infrastructure (cabling, connectors, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of networks (TCP/IP, Routers, Switches)
• Proactive and Autonomous – ability to work independently and recognize when to request assistance
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communications skills – spoken & written
• Positive attitude & outgoing personality
• Strong team spirit
• Flexible, adaptable, excellent priority management, excellent stress management
• Experience as a supervisor and/or manager of IT support staff desirable
• Degree/diploma in computer science preferred but not essential
• Relevant industry certifications (MCSE, CCNA) or equivalent demonstrated experience
• Experience – Three to six years experience in a similar position
